About Us

Welcome to the 52 Medical Group, home of Spangdahlem’s Saber Medics. The 52 Medical Group supports the 52d Fighter Wing mission by projecting medically ready Airmen who are Saber Sharp and First to the Fight. Our clinics provide a full spectrum of high-quality outpatient medical care to nearly 7,300 beneficiaries. We also provide medical support for 18 geographically separated units and deployment medicine for Europe’s most heavily deployed fighter wing.

The 52d Healthcare Operations Squadron delivers primary, ancillary, and subspecialty care to 7,000 enrolled beneficiaries and supports about 15,000 patient visits each year at Spangdahlem Air Base. Services include family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, audiology, virtual health, and 24/7 ambulance response. The squadron also provides Educational & Developmental Intervention Services to families assigned to 128 embassies across the eastern hemisphere. Supporting these operations are the squadron’s pharmacy, laboratory, diagnostic imaging, and patient administration functions, along with the logistics and administrative teams that sustain them.

The 52d Operational Medical Readiness Squadron provides care to optimize the combat capabilities of the 52d Fighter Wing and associated geographically separated units. It provides aeromedical, occupational, and preventive health support to beneficiaries. Services include Flight Medicine, Public Health, Optometry, Health Promotions, Dental, Bioenvironmental Engineering, and Aerospace Physiology.

The 852d Medical Squadron is a geographically separated unit that provides comprehensive outpatient health care services to TRICARE-enrolled beneficiaries and their families affiliated with the NATO Airborne Warning and Control System E-3A Component, Joint Force Command Brunssum, United States Army Garrison Benelux, the Combined Air Operations Centre, and multiple geographically separated units across Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. The squadron includes six flights: Aerospace Medicine, Ancillary Support Services, Dental, Medical Operations, Medical Support, and Mental Health.

The 852d Medical Squadron provides a broad range of clinical and support capabilities. These include family medicine, immunizations, preventive health services, minor surgical procedures, mental health, substance abuse counseling, domestic abuse victim advocate services, aerospace and operational medicine, public health, occupational health, preventive and general dentistry, limited oral and periodontal surgery, TRICARE Operations and Patient Administration, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, pharmacy, and Medical Information Systems. The squadron also provides medical readiness, force health protection, and dental readiness to ensure a medically ready joint force capable of executing assigned missions.
