Welcome to the 52nd Medical Group, home of Spangdahlem's Saber Medics. The 52 MDG supports the 52d Fighter Wings mission of Fueling Forward-Ready-Now with Airpower Options. Our clinic provides a full spectrum of the highest quality outpatient medical care to nearly 14,000 beneficiaries. Additionally, we provide medical support for eighteen geographically separated units and deployment medicine for Europe's most heavily deployed fighter wing.

The 52d Dental Squadron offers a variety of services to include general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, and limited oral surgery capabilities. We also have a Dental Laboratory in house to manage many Prosthodontic cases. Periodic dental examinations are scheduled for active duty members through their Unit Health Monitor. Follow-up appointments are made at the time of the periodic dental exam appointment or by calling the Dental Clinic. The clinic is staffed to treat active duty personnel. Dependents are seen on Space Availability basis unless Emergency Care Services are required. Family members are highly encouraged to enroll in the TRICARE Dental Program. Retirees are eligible for the TRICARE Retiree Dental Program.

The 52d Aerospace Medicine Squadron provides care to optimize combat capabilities of the 52 FW and associated Geographically Separated Units by providing aeromedical, occupational, and preventive health support to our beneficiaries. The Squadron ensures force health protection for all active duty personnel by providing primary medical and vision care for flyers, special duty personnel and other eligible beneficiaries and supports contingency and humanitarian operations globally. The Aerospace Medicine Squadron is comprised of 62 personnel within six flights, encompassing specialties from bioenvironmental engineering, public health, flight and operational medicine, aerospace and operational physiology, optometry, and health promotions.

The 52d Medical Support Squadron consists of seven flights providing Personnel and Administration, Resource Management, TRICARE Operations and Patient Administration, Medical Readiness, Medical Information Systems, Pharmacy, Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory and Medical Logistics. The 52d MDSS supports health care delivery by managing a group budget of $13 million and manpower programs for 314 staff members. The managed care program supports an enrolled population of 6,515 amounting to approximately 15,000 annual patient visits. Additionally, the squadron provides ancillary services with a $1.5 million, diagnostic imaging with an average of 20 and laboratory services with an average of 36 patients daily.

The 52d Medical Operations Squadron provides comprehensive primary care and limited referral and space-available subspecialty care to TRICARE-enrolled patients at the medical group. The squadron is comprised of four flights: Primary Care, Medical Services, Mental Health, and Educational & Developmental Intervention Services. Available services include: Ambulance Services (24/7, 365 days medical response), Acupuncture, Allergy, Family Advocacy, Family Medicine, Gynecology Services, Immunizations, Mental Health, Minor Surgical Procedures, Pediatric Services, Physical Therapy, Preventive Health Care, and Substance Abuse Counseling. The EDIS Program provides evaluation and coordination of Early Intervention Services and Related Services for our beneficiaries as well as 128 embassies in the eastern hemisphere. The primary services delivered by EDIS includes Audiology, Early special Education, Mental Health (Pediatric Psychology & Psychiatry), Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy. The squadron also offers DoD Inter-service Virtual Health in which we have 32 credentialed providers in 14 specialties.
